Some pop stars are atticted to tattoos but few will get an entire face tattoo! However, Cee Lo Green has revealed that he was once very close to getting a tattoo on his entire face!

Cee Lo Green considered having his whole face tattooed.

The 37-year-old singer has quite a few tattoos on different places of his body. He was very close to going extreme and and for a while he contemplated the full face tattoo in order to make a "statement". He certainly would have! A loud personnality with a complete face tattoo is quite a statement.

He said: "There was a time when I wanted to get my entire face done, just get something wild.

"I saw a guy recently and he had all sold black from the brown, down the middle of the nose, around the eyes and to the sides - it looked like a Roman fighting helmet. It was so awesome.

"That is a commitment and it's a way to say I can truly take the pain. I mean, I got it, he's not a guy you want to get into a fistfight with. It's quite a statement."

Cee lo is now trying to cut down on his tattoo and keep it under control. He once felt that he was addicted to the tattoos and always wanted more.

Cee Lo insists not all of his tattoos were painful - but he abandoned a piece of artwork on his back because he felt out of control.

He even started a large tattoo on his back but he gave up before it was finished and still needs to go back and get it done!

The new tattoed Tokidoki Barbie doll has been released by Mattel and it comes complete with pink hair, high heels, funky jewellery, leggings and tattoos! It was created by Italian artist Simone Legno and whether it’s a bad influence on young girls or not (hey, we see these girls on TV all the time), it certainly looks amazing and very very trendy!

Mattel says tokidoki Barbie is a "funky fashionista," and we think the tattoos on her chest and arms are gorgeous! The doll is being sold on Mattel's Barbie Collector website for $50.

British Police to show Tattoos

A police leader has called for officers to show their tattoos even when they are on duty. The idea is to use tattoos as an ‘icebreaker’ when dealing with the public. In the armed forces, visible tattoos are banned. Officers working for the British police are expected to cover their tattoos when they are on duty. Visible piercings are also banned. Rude or discriminatory tattoos that could cause offence to colleagues or the public are also banned.

But Ian Pointon, chairman of the Police Federation in Kent, wants to change the attitude within the police force and encourage officers to reveal their tattoos. They can actually be a good way to start a talking to the public and can serve as an icebreaker. Most people will not be offended by tattoos anymore.

Don’t be surprised next time you see a British police officer with his sleeves rolled up to show off his tattoos!

Top Australian beach volleyballer Claire Kelly is planning to get inked in order to get her and partner Carla Kleverlaan to the London Olympics in 2012. She is offering potential sponsors space on her body for an advertising tattoo or a brand tattoo.

This is a brave move by athlete Claire Kelly and highlights her ambition to get Olympic gold.

For $10,000 (US $10,500) sponsors can buy a 0.8 x 0.8 inch piece of Kelly's left arm while $50,000 (US $52,490) buys a 1.9 x 1.9 inch space on her right arm or shoulder. She has made up several similar packages which are on offer on eBay and brands are already looking into this possible advertising space.

The money raised by the sale will pay for the two athletes to join the world pro tour. The women have to play in at least 12 events on the tour to make it to the London 2012 Olympic stadium in Stratford, East London.

She is determined to make it and get a medal. Then I guess she can decide on her own tattoo designs.

The Hangover II might be getting an expensive beauty treatment. Warner Bros. might be forced to spend more than $1 million to remove – digitally - Ed Helms' face tattoo in The Hangover Part II.

If the Hollywood producers cannot settle the lawsuit over the copy of Mike Tyson’s face tattoo, they will have to go for the tattoo removal option. Warners Brothers have told a Missouri judge that if the copyright lawsuit filed by tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill cannot be settled before the movie's December DVD release, it will have to be digitally altered to remove the face tattoo.

The operation would take the best digital experts in Hollywood and take a bit of time but it can be done. It would certainly end up being the most expensive tattoo removal scheme ever seen. It could cost at least $1 million and maybe more.

Lawyers for Warners Brothers and S. Victor Whitmill are scheduled for a private mediation on June 16 in St. Louis. Let’s see if they can find a compromise to avoid the long hours of tattoo removal on the movie.

Nigel has been running his own tattoo studio since 1993 and has had thousands of tattoo fans go under the needle with him. The tattoo studio is called Fun House Tattoos and is a well know boutique to many tattoo fans in South Yorkshire and the UK. He runs the tattoo studio with Jo Pink who joined Fun House Tattoos in 2008.

Kurt specialises in photorealism and mainly does portraits. His style is similar to drawings and he uses the black and grey style. Many come to his studio asking for a portrait of a person close to them such as a parent or child. There are also many requests for celebrities such as music stars, movie stars and TV celebrities. Nigel Kurt is said to be delighted with the award which was presented to on 15 May in Liverpool.

Mr Kurt found inspiration 20 years ago when seeing the work of American tattoo artist Jack Rudy who specialised in black and grey style portraits. Jack Rudy is considered to be one of the top tattoo artists in the world.

Mr Kurt is extremely professional in his approach of tattooing and won’t tattoo anyone under 18. He won’t tattoo face and hands (visible tattoos) which is the case for many other tattoo artists. Jobseekers don’t Pay For Tattoos

I was revealed this week that jobseekers in the UK can get free tattoo removal paid for by taxpayers but there is no clear record of who can benefit from the scheme or how many jobseekers have already benefited from the scheme.

Apparently only extreme cases are considered for the free tattoo removal. The people in charge at the jobcentre will study demands on a case by case basis and only allow the £1,500 tattoo removal allowance to go to jobseekers who really need to have a tattoo removed in order to go back to work.

If you want to join the armed forces for instance, you will need to have any neck or face tattoo removed as they don’t allow anyone to sign up with visible tattoos. Some employers still reject candidates with tattoos although many employers start to understand that it’s only art and doesn’t stop anyone from doing the job. That said, face and neck tattoos can be frown upon by customer who are served by someone wearing visible tattoos.

The scheme is set to spark disbelief, especially at a time when the government needs to cut so many services. Can we really afford to pay for expensive tattoo removal? And if anyone can find the money to have a tattoo done in the first place, they can certainly find the money to have it removed privately if they realise they’ve done a mistake.

Royal Wedding Tattoo has the Wrong Date

A man has made the unfortunate mistake of getting the date wrong on his Royal Wedding Tattoo. Stephen Nesbitt, 33, wanted to have a new tattoo to celebrate the Royal Wedding. He went to his tattoo artist and asked for the text "Good Luck William and Kate" with the date "29th April 2011". He had the text tattooed on the top of his thigh and then realised that the tattoo artist had got the date wrong! His souvenir of the Royal Wedding is now going to turn into a long and painful tattoo removal session! Not exactly the happy souvenir he’d been waiting for.

Tattooist Alan Fleck, 35, from Newcastle had to refund the cost of the tattoo.

Stephen only realised the date was wrong later on in the day after having had the new tattoo done but said he doesn’t mind too much. He’s unsure whether he will have it modified or removed or even just leave it as it is.
Stephen said: "It's quirky. It'll be the only one in the country with that date."

However, it was such a perfect event and the bride (and her sister) looked so beautiful, I’d want to have a prefect tattoo to remember the special day when Kate Middleton and Prince William got married. Maybe he could do a cover up on the date and replace it with flowers. After all, flowers were part of the theme of the wedding and the wedding cake so it would be a good compromise.

If you’ve seen the movie "The Hangover", you’re certainly looking forward to laugh again when watching "The Hangover: Part II".

However, at the moment the movie is in a legal battle with a tattoo artist!

The tattoo artist who designed Mike Tyson’s face tattoo is suing Warner Bros. over the similar-looking face tattoo on Ed Helms' character in the upcoming comedy "The Hangover: Part II".

The tattooist, Victor Whitmill says he owns the rights to the face tattoo design. Mr Whitmill is asking for an injunction to stop the release of the movie sequel "The Hangover: Part II" is set to make its debut in the US on May 26.

It seems that Warner Bros. did not try to contact Mr Whitmill to obtain his permission in order to use the face tattoo design but why would anyone own a design? It’s not like a logo for a brand. It’s just art work. Then the traditional tribes in New Zealand and Fiji should be suing the world for the use of tattoo designs!

The original film was an international success. Let’s see if the tattoo artist can stop the second movie from a similar fate.

A beer drinker has earned a lifetime’s discount on his favourite brand of beer after agreeing to get a tattoo of the brand’s logo on his leg.

It’s not the first time that someone gets a brand tattooed in order to win money or something valuable. In this instance, a lifetime supply of discounted beer was enough to make Robert Hanson take the plunge and get a new tattoo.

Robert Hanson, 20, has had the tattoo done on his calf. In exchange, he will get 20 per cent off rounds of BrewDog for the rest of his life.

The black ink design will be redeemable at a new BrewDog pub which officially opened in the former Chasers Bar unit in the Cowgate today.

Some might think that Robert got the tattoo only because he loves beer but in fact, he really liked the logo so the deal worked out really well for him.

Just like her idol Cheryl Cole, Cher Lloyd goes crazy over tattoos. She’s had a couple of new tattoos done after the X Factor Show and now she just has another two tattoos done. This means that she now has seven tattoos altogether.

The 17-year-old wanted to share her new tattoos with fan and she posted about the tattoos on Twitter. She explained that the two tattoos are a tribute to her late uncle. One tattoo is a bird carrying a ribbon with the word “Boo”. It’s on her right arm. The other tattoo is on her left arm and it’s a birdcage. Presumably, the bird left the birdcage for a new life and new freedom representing a belief in a life after death.

The two new tattoos are in memory of her uncle Edward Smith, known as Boo Boo who passed away suddenly last September.

Cher Lloyd is very close to her family. She also dedicated another tattoo to her mum. The fact that she is so close to her family shows how she was able to achieve so much at such a young age. The whole back tattoo is a made up scene of the twilight movie. As you’ve guessed, she’s a big fan of the Twilight Saga series. She got into the books and movies after a friend introduced her to the saga to cheer her up. She really wanted something to illustrate how much of a fan she really is. She’s admitted that she wanted "a permanent reminder of the amazing series" so she got a small tattoo and it turned into a whole back tattoo. The full back includes the heroes from the movies: sexy Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

The supermarket worker, from Reading, had to save for month to be able to afford the tattoo. She then braved 22 hours in the tattoo artist’s parlour to get her back inked.

She still wants to get more done including her arms so she is now saving up for her next tattoo.

She claims the series was so powerful on her that it helped her lose a lot of weight. Her husband of 18 years is very proud of her. She’s now waiting for more tattoos and maybe a signed autograph for the stars of the series.

The four books, which have been translated into 38 different languages, have sold more than 100million copies worldwide while the films have smashed box office records.

The amateur tattoo artist, a 21-year-old Australian man, has been charged with assault and causing bodily harm. It is believed he did the rude tattoo as a revenge. The man with the large penis on his back now has to find a tattoo removal treatment such as laser tattoo removal in order to remove the rude tattoo.

The BBC has revealed that more and more young people are using DIY kits to create their own tattoos...with no protection and no experience.

Tattoos are more popular than ever and there is increase pressure to have one, especially among young people. One surveys says that 1 in 3 has a tattoo in the UK.

More people are taking things into their own hands and tattooing themselves using various cheap methods. This was confirmed by tattoo artists who say they see more and more people walking in asking for a cover up of a really bad home made design. Many have been done with kits bought over the Internet for as little £60, mainly from China. The risk is high as this can lead to infection....and regrets!

Think twice before going for a DIY tattoo. It's definitely best to save up and have it done by a pro!!

Wayne Rooney has revealed a new tattoo in honour of his son Kai. The Manchester United striker applauded the Wembley fans after England's 3-1 triumph over Mexico in a friendly game and took the opportunity to take his top off and reveal the new tattoo to the fans and the press. At the time, it was seen as something really agressive and not right for Rubens Barrichello. This new movie is just coming out and it's not set in a tattoo shop in London or in Miami. It's set in a cold place with not much ink action!

The movie is bBased on the first book from the Millennium trilogy, by the Swedish journalist Stieg Larsson. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is set in Sweden. The film version has managed to cover most of the book's salient points which is very impressive.

The director of this thriller, Niels Arden Oplev, is taking us for a very unpleasant holiday in a very cold and dark Sweden and we are not dealing with beautiful blonde women but with serial killers and dirty family secrets. We start with the search for Harriet who went missing 40 years ago, aged 16. Don’t be put off by the black hair and piercings; she’s the one with the talent to find the truth. With the help from the girl with the dragon tattoo, we start to find out more about this sordid city which lead to the uncovering of a series of brutal murders. We were discussing this week the celebration of 50 years of LASER and the many ways we now use LASER in our daily lives. One of the many uses of laser is tattoo removal surgery and this is what Peter Andre has decided to do on is Katie Tattoo.

Although we all thought for a while that the couple would eventually get back together, it is now sure that it's not going to happen. Katie has married again to new husband Alex Reid, 34, and Peter needs to move on. Part of the process of moving on is also removing the tattoos. He's not the first man to have to make his way to the laser clinic to have a tattoo removed.

The Aussie singer, 37, has already had the first of three laser sessions needed to remove the tattoo. Last year, he still wanted to keep the word "Katie" tattoo despite the split. He was probably still thinking about his ex too much to commit to laser surgery but after a few months of dealing with the break-up and the many requests from Katie, 31, Peter decided it was time to have it done and he booked into a tattoo removal clinic for a £240 course of laser treatment.

He wants to move on and removing the tattoo is his way of doing it. Katie also has a tattoo of Peter's name on her wrist. She decided to have it covered rather than have surgery using a laser to remove the tattoo. She had it covered with a black cross a few weeks after the break-up.

50 years of LASER

We are celebrating 50 Years of Laser Innovation and to mark the occasion, there are plenty of exhibition organised to tell us more about the laser and its use in everyday life.

HIV fight before World Cup

In June, South Africa will host a major sporting event and Britain has committed to send 42 million condoms to South Africa in order to help fight HIV before the World Cup.

An estimated 5.7 million South Africans are living with HIV. That's about 20% of all adults. There are about 1,400 new HIV infections and nearly 1,000 Aids deaths every day.

President Jacob Zuma has asked for help to make sure the World Cup does not end up in a health disaster. Britain is responding to the request and will give 42m condoms to South Africa as part of an HIV prevention drive before the start of the World Cup in June 2010.

It is estimated that up to half a million visitors will travel to the country for the event.

Well, if you plan to run the London Marathon...think now about what to wear! it's a showcase of bodies from skinny to very very fit and you can show off your new tattoo if you wear the right gear. It has to be practical for running and also sexy! or at least try and make it trendy. Who wants to look like a turnip in front of the cameras? You will be sweating a lot too so you need to think carefully about your makeup. I won't be running because of the baby and it's not a good idea to run when you are pregnant.

Channels interlaced designs around wrists or ankles were created for the show by Peter Philips, International Director of makeup creation for Chanel. These tattoos are temporary tattoos and they have been so successful during the show that Chanel is launching a line of fake tattoos.

Visitor trips and tears £80 million Picasso Painting!

A student viting New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art halved the value of a Pablo Picasso to £40million - after stumbling into it and causing a rip. The female student who will not be named, made a 6in tear in the lower right-hand corner of the painting. It is estimated that the painting can be fully repaired, leaving just a small line, but because of the damage, the value of the painting, previously estimated at £80 million will never recover and is now estimated at £40 million. It is a lot of money when you consider that she just lost her balance during the art class which can happen anywhere to any of us. Collectors are not really interested in painting or any objects if they have been repaired. The most valuable works of art are always in the state of origin, as intended or left by the artist.

Museum officials will not identify the student and they have confirmed that the 105-year-old painting will be fixed in time for the museum's Picasso exhibition in April.

No tattoo too young in Guernsey

Guernsey's Health and Social Services Department have released a statement to remind everyone that it is illegal to get a tattoo or a piercing before the age of 18.

The BBC tells us today that a 14-year-old girl had been off school after getting a piercing in her nose. Only piercings in the lower lobe of the ear (i.e. "normal" or "standard old fashion" piercings for earrings are ok). Any other piercing or tattoo before 18 is illegal and really the tattoo artist or piercing artist should know better and tell young people to live with the idea for a few years and then come back to the shop. Sometimes people think for years about their tattoos and where they will have it done before they go ahead and have it. At least then it is a mature decision and one that will not be a regret at a later stage. Considering it is quite expensive to have a tattoo removed, it's best to get it right.

I would definitely recommand to talk to young people about it and tell them exactly why it is illegal and not to be influenced by fashion or peers.
