Amber Rose gets a tattoo of Wiz Khalifa

Earlier this week, Model Amber Rose posted a picture on Twitter revealing her new tattoo: a giant portrait of Wiz Khalifa on the back of her arm with the caption "True love".

Kahlifa and Rose have been engaged since March 2012 and have welcomed their first son, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, in February.

They have not posted pictures of the baby yet, but Rose is happy to show all her body art.

12th tattoo for Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber unveils his 12th tattoo!

Justin Bieber got his first tattoo when he was 16 and has been adding to his collection on a regular basis ever since. Backstage in Copenhagen, Denmark last week, Justin Bieber showed off yet another new piece of body art.
The new tattoo is a koi fish design and Justin Bieber decided to have it on his arm, next to an owl and cross or X representing the greek letter "CHI" (which means Christ).

Just already has a wide collection of tattoos, many of them are spiritual and music related. For instance, he has the word "Believe" on the inside of his left arm. This was done when he released an album with the same name.

The new koi carp design is said to be his 3rd tattoo this year.

Are celebs with tattoos a bad influence?

Are celebs with tattoos a bad influence?

Tattoos have never been so popular. Tattoos are seen as fashionable and cool. However, the UK tattoo removal industry is booming as many grow tired of their tattoos or even have regrets from day one.

Stars such as One Direction, Cheryl Cole, Robbie Williams, Biffy Clyro and many other have many tattoos and share each new design with their fans. They certainly influence the fashion. Are celebs with tattoos a bad influence?

Previous generations wore make up or started sporting long hair. It was so bad following celebrity fashion. The only thing you would be left with 20 years later are some embarrassing pictures.

In 20 years, teenagers will be left with a lot more than embarrassing pictures. They will still have tattoos inspired by bands that they no longer listen to.

Last month, One Direction had to deny rumors that they were encouraging their fans to get tattoos. However, many have already gone ahead and had a tattoo done! This sparked a debate over celebrity tattoos. Can they have a bad influence on teenagers? The reality is certainly yes. Many teenagers will have tattoos before they turn 18, despite the bans.

Employers will learn to adapt and give jobs to candidates with tattoos. Everyone will adapt to be more tolerant of visible tattoos on face, hands, wrists, necks and other visible body parts. The less tolerant will be the ones with regrets, saving up to be able to afford expensive tattoo removal and try and get rid of a silly tattoo...which was a good idea at the time, when so and so was famous.

Young people will always copy celebrities and try to emulate them. This is part of growing up and as long as the celebs keep posting pictures of new tattoos on Twitter, the fashion will grow.

Cee Lo Green Considered Extreme Tattoo

Some pop stars are atticted to tattoos but few will get an entire face tattoo! However, Cee Lo Green has revealed that he was once very close to getting a tattoo on his entire face!

Cee Lo Green considered having his whole face tattooed.

The 37-year-old singer has quite a few tattoos on different places of his body. He was very close to going extreme and and for a while he contemplated the full face tattoo in order to make a "statement". He certainly would have! A loud personnality with a complete face tattoo is quite a statement.

He said: "There was a time when I wanted to get my entire face done, just get something wild.

"I saw a guy recently and he had all sold black from the brown, down the middle of the nose, around the eyes and to the sides - it looked like a Roman fighting helmet. It was so awesome.

"That is a commitment and it's a way to say I can truly take the pain. I mean, I got it, he's not a guy you want to get into a fistfight with. It's quite a statement."

Cee lo is now trying to cut down on his tattoo and keep it under control. He once felt that he was addicted to the tattoos and always wanted more.

Cee Lo insists not all of his tattoos were painful - but he abandoned a piece of artwork on his back because he felt out of control.

He even started a large tattoo on his back but he gave up before it was finished and still needs to go back and get it done!

British Police to show Tattoos

A police leader has called for officers to show their tattoos even when they are on duty. The idea is to use tattoos as an ‘icebreaker’ when dealing with the public. In the armed forces, visible tattoos are banned. Officers working for the British police are expected to cover their tattoos when they are on duty. Visible piercings are also banned. Rude or discriminatory tattoos that could cause offence to colleagues or the public are also banned.

But Ian Pointon, chairman of the Police Federation in Kent, wants to change the attitude within the police force and encourage officers to reveal their tattoos. They can actually be a good way to start a talking to the public and can serve as an icebreaker. Most people will not be offended by tattoos anymore.

Don’t be surprised next time you see a British police officer with his sleeves rolled up to show off his tattoos!

Next Tattoo for David Beckham will be Harper Seven

David Beckham already has a tattoo of the name of each of his three sons. The next tattoo will certainly be for his new born daugher Harper Seven.

The unusual name will give him many opportunities for a new tattoo. He could have the two names spelled completely or have Harper and number 7 next to it or across it. There are so many combinations possible for a great design.

In the meantime, he's not making his way to the tattoo shop just yet as he's spending time holding the beautiful baby girl in his arms as he's posted on Twitter.

Here's a video of how the first ever QR code tattoo was inked....and tested! In fact, this is the first ever interactive or animated tattoo! A record designed in Paris, France.

Fern Britton gets tattooed at 53

You have to wait till you're 18 to get your first tattoo but there's no age limit to when you can start getting inked!
Fern Britton, now 53, has decided it's a great age to get your first tattoo. She had two butterflies tattooed on her tummy.

The former This Morning presenter took her inspiration from Felicity Kendal who had her first tattoo (a star on her foot) at the age of 64. She had been thinking about it for a while and decided that being 53 is a great age to get body art.

No middle age crisis. Fern had been thinking about her new tattoo for a while.

Biffy Ckyro Singer Shows off Tattoos at Glastonbury

Ayrshire rocker Simon Neil, lead singer of the band Biffy Clyro, was showing off his tattoos at Glastonbury this weekend.

The band lead singer always goes topless when he’s performing because he gets so hot from boucing around. It's a great way for fans to check out his many tattoos. The band played at the pyramid stage on Friday and you can check out their performance on the BBC2 website.

Jo Whiley did ask him about his tattoos in an interview with Simon Neil and the rest of the band. He said that everyone has a few tattoos in the band but he has the most. He was 21 when he first had a tattoo but was addicted to tattoos straight away. He always uses the same tattoo artist and he has about 30 tattoos so far including one on his back that says "keep on dreaming boy cause when you stop dreaming it's time to die" and a gun on his hip and loads of art.

First Tattoo For Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is the opposite of Angelina Jolie when it comes to tattoos. While Angelina Jolie has so many tattoos all over her body, Jennifer Aniston only just got her first tattoo. Not having tattoos did not stop her from getting the "decade of hotness" award during the Spike TV awards only a few weeks ago. She was celebrated for being so fit.

It was revealed ealier this week as she was taking a walk in downtown New York City. The tattoo, on the inside of her right foot, is just one name: "Norman". It is the name of her Welsh corgi-terrier mix, who died in May at 15 years old, according to People magazine.

Tattoos Sold to Brands for Olympic Gold

Top Australian beach volleyballer Claire Kelly is planning to get inked in order to get her and partner Carla Kleverlaan to the London Olympics in 2012. She is offering potential sponsors space on her body for an advertising tattoo or a brand tattoo.

This is a brave move by athlete Claire Kelly and highlights her ambition to get Olympic gold.

For $10,000 (US $10,500) sponsors can buy a 0.8 x 0.8 inch piece of Kelly's left arm while $50,000 (US $52,490) buys a 1.9 x 1.9 inch space on her right arm or shoulder. She has made up several similar packages which are on offer on eBay and brands are already looking into this possible advertising space.

The money raised by the sale will pay for the two athletes to join the world pro tour. The women have to play in at least 12 events on the tour to make it to the London 2012 Olympic stadium in Stratford, East London.

She is determined to make it and get a medal. Then I guess she can decide on her own tattoo designs.

Jason "Weeman" Acuna gets JackassTribute Tattoo

Ryan Dunn's Jackass co-star Jason "Weeman" Acuna got a new tattoo dedicated to his mate. The new tattoo is a tribute to his friend who died in a car crash on Monday.

Jason "Weeman" Acuna got a picture of his mate inked on his calf following the car crash in the early hours of Monday morning. He posted the picture on Twitter.

Weeman said: "Yesterday I decided after Ryan passed away, 'How can I do something for Ryan?"

This is quite an appropriate tattoo for Ryan Dunn. It is still unclear why is car crashed on Monday but reports say that speed could have been a reason for the crash.

David Beckham’s Boy Get Tattoos

It was only a matter of time until David Beckham’s boys turned to tattoos. With a dad addicted to tattoos and boasting body art from head to toe, it’s not surprising to see that his boys now have an interest in tattoos.

Romeo Beckham was seen playing football with tattoos on his arm. I doubt that he’d be allowed to have real tattoos as he’s only eight but temporary tattoos are ok. So he was showing off some temporary tattoos on his left arm as he played football in Los Angeles. Romeo was seen with the coloured tattoos as he playing football with his brother Cruz, five, and father David.

The boys have already asked how old they need to be to get real tattoos. They’ll have to wait until they turn 18 and then they’ll have to make sure this is really what they want.

Kat Von D to marry in the summer

Rumours that Kat Von D, the famous LA Ink tattoo artist, and Jesse James are about to split up are definitely old news. The latest we’ve heard from the celebrity couple is that they plan to marry in the summer.

Jesse James, ex-husband of Hollywood star Sandra Bullock, has asked Kat to marry him on the day of the first anniversary of their first encounter.

They have both confirmed that their couple is strong and the wedding will happen as planned.

The couple began dating in August 2010, just two months after his divorce from Sandra Bullock was officially finalised.

At least this is one bride who will not try to hide her tattoos with make up on the wedding day.

Tattoo Removal – Hangover II gets the treatment

The Hangover II might be getting an expensive beauty treatment. Warner Bros. might be forced to spend more than $1 million to remove – digitally - Ed Helms' face tattoo in The Hangover Part II.

If the Hollywood producers cannot settle the lawsuit over the copy of Mike Tyson’s face tattoo, they will have to go for the tattoo removal option. Warners Brothers have told a Missouri judge that if the copyright lawsuit filed by tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill cannot be settled before the movie's December DVD release, it will have to be digitally altered to remove the face tattoo.

The operation would take the best digital experts in Hollywood and take a bit of time but it can be done. It would certainly end up being the most expensive tattoo removal scheme ever seen. It could cost at least $1 million and maybe more.

Lawyers for Warners Brothers and S. Victor Whitmill are scheduled for a private mediation on June 16 in St. Louis. Let’s see if they can find a compromise to avoid the long hours of tattoo removal on the movie.

Billie Piper reveals a new Fox Tattoo

Billie Piper has just revealed a new tattoo. The new tattoo is just three letters...F.O.X on her ring finger on her left hand. This is quite a surprise since she's admitted previously that she regrets her other fox tattoo on her arm. But they are both dedicated to her husband actor Laurence Fox so I guess she's not willing to let them go or have them removed or covered.

She revealed the latest tattoo last night during her appearance as support for David Tennant in his latest production: the theatre show Much Ado About Nothing.

Getting tattoos dedicated to her husband is certainly ok but she should really pay more attention to style and design. The first tattoo is just plain text saying Mr Fox and the date of the wedding and the second tattoo is again plain letter with no style. There are so many great tattoo artists in London, she could pick any of them to do a great cover up with nice letters and a great design. Tattoo is not just about the meaning, it's also about art and design.

Justin Bieber Reveals New Tattoo

Justin Bieber already has one tattoo of a bird, a seagull, on his hip and during a holiday in Hawaii with his girlfriend Selena Gomez, he took the opportunity to reveal a new tattoo.

Justin Bieber’s new tattoo is a row of symbols under his left arm. The new tattoo is believed to say ''Yeshua'', the Hebrew spelling of Jesus. During his "My World Tour", Justin Bieber visited Israel and that’s probably where he found the inspiration for the new tattoo. Justin is a proud Christian and visited biblical sites during his stay in Israel.

The 17-year-old singer is officially too young to have a tattoo but he is growing up very fast and seems to know his own mind when it comes to body art. He is acting like Cher Lloyd who also had numerous tattoos despite being the same age as Justin Bieber.

A picture of him topless in Hawaii has given fans a glimpse of the new tattoo in black ink.

Justin's only just picked up six accolades at the Billboard Music Awards last Sunday in Las Vegas. His latest awards included Top New Artist and Top Pop Album. He’s way too young to play casino games and won’t be allowed in the casino. Maybe that’s why he’s celebrating with tattoos!

Tattoo Award for Tattoo Artist Nigel Kurt

Nigel Kurt, a tattoo artist from Sheffield, South Yorkshire has been named Best UK Male by the UK Tattoo Industry. Nigel has been running his own tattoo studio since 1993 and has had thousands of tattoo fans go under the needle with him. The tattoo studio is called Fun House Tattoos and is a well know boutique to many tattoo fans in South Yorkshire and the UK. He runs the tattoo studio with Jo Pink who joined Fun House Tattoos in 2008.

Kurt specialises in photorealism and mainly does portraits. His style is similar to drawings and he uses the black and grey style. Many come to his studio asking for a portrait of a person close to them such as a parent or child. There are also many requests for celebrities such as music stars, movie stars and TV celebrities. There are also regular requests for tattoos of pets.

Nigel Kurt is said to be delighted with the award which was presented to on 15 May in Liverpool.

Mr Kurt found inspiration 20 years ago when seeing the work of American tattoo artist Jack Rudy who specialised in black and grey style portraits. Jack Rudy is considered to be one of the top tattoo artists in the world.

Mr Kurt is extremely professional in his approach of tattooing and won’t tattoo anyone under 18. He won’t tattoo face and hands (visible tattoos) which is the case for many other tattoo artists. And if he doesn’t like the design, he won’t do the tattoo. Once again, this is very common with many professional tattoo artists who not only look after their style and their reputation, but also want the best for their customers.
