Beer discount for a tattoo

A beer drinker has earned a lifetime’s discount on his favourite brand of beer after agreeing to get a tattoo of the brand’s logo on his leg.

It’s not the first time that someone gets a brand tattooed in order to win money or something valuable. In this instance, a lifetime supply of discounted beer was enough to make Robert Hanson take the plunge and get a new tattoo.

Robert Hanson, 20, has had the tattoo done on his calf. In exchange, he will get 20 per cent off rounds of BrewDog for the rest of his life.




The black ink design will be redeemable at a new BrewDog pub which officially opened in the former Chasers Bar unit in the Cowgate today.

Some might think that Robert got the tattoo only because he loves beer but in fact, he really liked the logo so the deal worked out really well for him.

Matt Banahan Tattoos

You might think that Matt Banahan is getting tattoos to impress the opposite team on the rugby field. But it’s not the case. All his tattoos have a deep meaning to him and like so many others, just like Cheryl Cole, Cher Lloyd or Robbie Williams, he just loves his tattoos. He says he’s not addicted to getting inked but he’s pretty sure he will get a few more tattoos in the years to come.

His one of England’s rugby star with the most tattoos. Rugby players from New Zealand and Fiji are known for their tattoos and it is part of their tradition and culture. For England players, getting tattoos is a new thing. Other sport personalities have gone mad for tattoos such as David Beckham and Kevin Pietersen.

So will Matt Banahan impress the other players during the final six nation games against Ireland on Saturday? Well, he’s more likely to impress with his build - 6ft 7in and 18 stone and the way he can run. But if his build is not enough to impress the opposite team, he can rely on his war paint. Many of his tattoos are family related such as a war related tattoo as an homage to his grand-father who fought in the second world war, his parents initials and a tattoo he shares with his brother. Matt has a Spitfire on his chest and his brother, Paul, has a Mustang. It’s only when they stand together that you can see the whole picture made of the 2 tattoos.

He also has many lucky tattoos such as a number 13, an Ace of Spade, a pair of dice, a horseshoe, a four-leaf clover which was his first tattoo which he got on his 18th birthday.

Let’s hope his luck tattoos bring everyone a great game on Saturday.

Another New Tattoo for Cher Lloyd

Just like her idol Cheryl Cole, Cher Lloyd goes crazy over tattoos. She’s had a couple of new tattoos done after the X Factor Show and now she just has another two tattoos done. This means that she now has seven tattoos altogether.

The 17-year-old wanted to share her new tattoos with fan and she posted about the tattoos on Twitter. She explained that the two tattoos are a tribute to her late uncle. One tattoo is a bird carrying a ribbon with the word “Boo”. It’s on her right arm. The other tattoo is on her left arm and it’s a birdcage. Presumably, the bird left the birdcage for a new life and new freedom representing a belief in a life after death.

The two new tattoos are in memory of her uncle Edward Smith, known as Boo Boo who passed away suddenly last September.



Cher Lloyd is very close to her family. She also dedicated another tattoo to her mum. The fact that she is so close to her family shows how she was able to achieve so much at such a young age. At only 17, she is aiming for an international singing career and many famous artists have commented on her natural talent.

David Beckham reveals his new tattoo

The new tattoo is on his chest, at the top and represent Jesus being carried by 3 angels. The three angels are like David and Victoria's boys. David is really pleased with the new design. He really loves his tattoos and they all have a meaning. Once again, this one has a meaning. He wants to let the boys take over one day and look after him.

It is hard to believe that there was a spare space on his body for a new tattoo. The football star was so excited about his new tattoo that he wanted to share it with fans using his facebook page. So here's the tattoo :

The new tattoo depicts Jesus and three cherubs, which, apparently, represent him and his sons. It was done by Mark Mahoney. David said about Mark that he's one of the best tattoo artists. A really great result.
